It was in the early 1980’s when Jay Behr came to T-102, and shortly after The Super Saturday Morning Show (SSMS) was born.  “It just happened” says Jay Behr in remarking on how it came to be.  "The overnight DJ’s would hang around and share some ridiculous material they had come across.  We started to interact with each other on-the-air.  That is how SSMS began”.

Jay has hosted SSMS for over 25 years, 20 years of which have been with partners JZ and Dr Jim Smith. Julian Cezar joined the SSMS team a decade ago.  The chemistry of these diverse talents working together is phenomenal. Its genuine laughter, ridiculous interaction, foolish stories, and senseless commentary…a Saturday morning of just plain fun.  And, each hour guarantees you 10 songs in-a-row featuring Today’s Best Songs On The Radio And Some Of The Greatest Hits Of All Time! Also, you’ll want to catch The Super Saturday Sports Machine at 10:30AM, and at 11:20AM The Super Saturday 6-Pack Weekend Countdown of East Central PA’s most requested songs. SSMS is unique, and it’s a Saturday morning tradition! SSMS air’s Saturdays 7AM – Noon.

RADIO HOST JAY BEHR

Jay Behr has been on the radio for four decades.  His love for radio began as a boy while listening to radio DJ legends like Dan Ingram, Harry Harrison, Ron Lundy, George Michael and John “Records” Landecker, who were DJ’s on the country’s  “Powerhouse” AM radio stations such as WABC, WFIL, WLS and WKBW.  That was during the era in broadcasting when AM radio was king, and the true potential of FM radio was just being discovered.  It was a time when the disc jockey’s on-air personality and control room capabilities were paramount in the success of the radio station, and equally as important as the music they played.

Having strong ties to family and his birthplace in Schuylkill County, Jay spent his broadcasting career in Pennsylvania at numerous radio stations extending from the Greater Philadelphia region to the northeast Wilkes-Barre radio markets.  In 1982 Jay came to T-102 and created the Super Saturday Morning Show (SSMS).  Over the years the popularity of SSMS has never dwindled due to its unique audience appeal, and it has become a Saturday Morning Tradition in East Central PA.  Jay has two daughters, and he and his wife reside in the Lehigh Valley.
